We recommend 60-80 grams of protein a day during pregnancy. Eating small amounts of protein throughout the day will help with morning sickness, maintain blood sugar levels, and help avoid toxemia in late pregnancy. Eggs, cheese, almonds, nut butters, beans & rice, and meat are all good sources of protein.
